Heart of Wales & Cumberland Road Runs The 1st Cumberland Trunk Run took place in glorious weather on Sunday 7th September 2003. Just under 50 vehicles started out from Keswick and finished at Cockermouth after travelling approximately 140 miles via Kendal, Milnthorpe, Newby Bridge and Barrow.

The two-day Heart of Wales Road Run took place the following weekend with 70+ vehicles starting from the Perkins Engines Plant, Shrewsbury.

The first day's route to LLanberis was via Bishop's Castle, Church Stoke, Newtown, Caersws, Dinas Mawddwy Pass, Portmadog and Barmouth. The superb weather continued for the second day's journey to Welshpool via Llanberis Pass, Betwys-yCoed and Bala.

Some of the best scenery to have been featured on a Road Run video.
