The Phoenix Run 2004 Quernhow Truckstop on the A1 was the starting point for Ted Hannon's first 320 mile two-day Phoenix Run and that was all that the entrants knew until he handed out the route sheets for the first day's journey.

Fifty-six vehicles took part in the run and the drivers were treated to what must have been the most demanding route ever devised for Vintage and Classic Commercials.

This run was strictly for 'real' drivers, the climb to Hartside Height, with it's tight twists and turns, made Shap look like a stroll in the park.

Day one saw the vehicles travelling to Carlisle via Masham, Leyburn, Hawes, Cowgill, Kendall, Ravenglass, Whitehaven and Maryport. The return journey on the second day was via Penrith, Hartside Height, Alstom, Wolsingham, Tow Law and Bishop Auckland.

Unobtrusive commentary by JIM WILKIE. Stereo sound. BBFC Exempt.

Recorded & edited on DV in Stereo, this film is available in DVD format.
